There is a strong relationship between man and environment. These relationships have been specially mentioned in geography. In the initial phase of the process of emergence and development of man and his society, the environment of man is formed by the physical elements of a planet earth such as climate, soil, animals. Man was basically a physical man because his needs for climate, food and living area were limited and he was completely dependent on nature. As man moved towards social economy and technology, the area of his environment also increased. Along with the increase in the population of man, the number of tribals is also increasing continuously and the form of tribals is changing from rural to urban. This is having adverse effects on the environment and various types of pollution are being born every day.

Man has been living on this earth since ancient times. On the basis of historical facts, man started living on earth from the third era of Eos, which remained like this for many lakhs of years. Scholars say that about 10 lakh years ago, in the Late Creatorian period, the present form of man was developed, which we call intelligent man. In this, man used his experiments. Stone was used for making tools and utensils. These tools were crude and unpolished. This era is called the Early Stone Age and the era after this is called the Proto Stone Age. Humans of this era mostly lived in the tropical regions of the world. The environment of this era was beneficial and convenient for humans. Humans started living in large grasslands and open forests. About 20,000 years ago, when the last Hum era ended, a new Stone Age began. In this era, humans learnt to do animal husbandry and agriculture. In this era, humans also started making clay utensils. In this era, humans also started making cotton clothes. In this era, humans mostly used to make wooden planks.

Most of them lived in the coastal areas of Central Asia, South East Asia, China, India, West Asia, Eastern Europe and North Africa. 5000 years before Christ, the modern civilization developed. At that time, the population of the entire world was about 100 lakhs and at the time of Christ's birth, the population of this world was 1000 lakhs and in the year 1600, the world's population was estimated to be about 4000 people. But in 2025 AD, the population has increased record-breakingly. Due to the rapid increase in population, the world is standing at such a delicate place from where the crisis of natural resources is clearly visible. Population growth is not only creating social problems, many environmental problems are also arising. Along with population growth, human needs are also increasing, which is adversely affecting the unlimited resources of the earth. Especially, excessive pressure is increasing on the earth's land, water and air elements. Water, land and air are very essential for humans, but due to the consumerist activities of humans, these three elements are getting highly polluted. No matter how much scientific progress humans make, new land areas are not being created on the earth. Water area and air area cannot produce anything. Due to pollution caused by humans in land, water and air, its quality is constantly decreasing and it is no longer fit for human use.
